YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
THE WHAT
As a Winding Engineer, you are responsible for developing, optimizing, and industrializing filament winding processes for aerospace COPVs. Your work directly impacts structural integrity, repeatability, and flight safety.
As a Winding Engineer, you are responsible for developing, optimizing, and industrializing filament winding processes for aerospace COPVs. Your work directly impacts structural integrity, repeatability, and flight safety.
You operate in an environment where process discipline, data, and accountability matter as much as innovation.
THE WHY
To end COPV failure in spaceflight. We set the benchmark for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency in composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs). Our products are safety-critical hardware for spaceflight — where failure is not an option.

YOUR IMPACT
You don't just develop winding processes. You directly impact structural integrity, repeatability, and flight safety.
You don't just develop winding processes. You directly impact structural integrity, repeatability, and flight safety.
You ensure:
- Process robustness, repeatability, and manufacturability
- Winding processes meet performance and reliability requirements
- Development processes can be scaled up to series production
Your tasks in detail and by priority
Develop, qualify, and optimize filament winding processes for composite pressure vessels.
→ High Performance: Optimize processes for performance and reliability
Define winding parameters including fiber placement, tension, angles, and speed to meet performance and reliability requirements.
→ Accountability: Take ownership of process parameters and results
Support process validation, testing, and failure analysis.
→ Candor: Use data and failure analysis to improve processes
Collaborate closely with design, materials, quality, and test engineering.
→ Togetherness: Work closely across teams to achieve reliable results
Ensure process robustness, repeatability, and manufacturability. Contribute to documentation, standards and continuous process improvement. Support scale-up from development to series production.
→ Playfulness: Drive innovation and continuous process improvement
